Hello everyone!

Patch 3 (yet to be named) is just around the corner, and with it come the first changes to the story. Unfortunately, this means that Patch 3 will introduce the first save incompatibility, moving to the new version.

Don't worry, though! Each patch will come with a secondary branch that will allow you to continue playing the previous version with your existing saves, until you decide you are ready to play the latest version. Maybe you'd like to wait for a few fixes to pass, for example, before relaunching. Everything will be in place for you!

It will work like this:

The secondary branch will be the previous version, but the main branch (default download) will be the latest version. To access the secondary branch, do the following:

Right click on the game in your Steam library
Select properties
Click on the BETAS tab
In the list under "Select the beta you want to subscribe to", select patch2
Close the properties menu

If you follow the steps above, you are ready to continue reading now.

If you are unsure whether you want to update to the new patch, we recommend that you turn off automatic updates now, so that you have the choice of either manually updating the new patch or activating the secondary branch one by one. once the fix has arrived. To turn off automatic updates, follow the steps below:

Right click on the game in your Steam library
Select properties
Click on the Updates tab
Select "Update game only when I launch it" from the drop-down menu

You can already switch to the beta branch if you want to protect your backup file and continue with the current version. Note: Backup files are not "deleted" from your computer; they will remain in your folder, but you will only be able to load backups specific to their respective versions.

We know having to switch branches can be annoying, but it's part of Early Access. All of the feedback we've gathered from your adventures and posts will go right into these fixes, so the next time you play it will feel like an experience you helped create.

Note: connection is unfortunately not available on Stadia at the moment.

For GOG:

An announcement that promises content before the game's release next year! Something to put in your mouths during winter and spring!
