Instances 125 Part 2 Median XL: access Toraja, recover Valthek's set, kill the bosses of the instances then Baal!
33. 125 Toraja, Lylia's Curse
First instance of this guide, and especially the one that gives the game the least useful charm. Go through Torjan Jungles, the cemetery, then at the top left of it. You will have to use the Summon Edyrem spell to successfully kill the enemies, especially the first archer guarding the entrance to the area. Once inside, go down, summoning 10 Edyrems permanently. If an Edyrem hits an enemy, that enemy will also be susceptible to your attacks. So you can combine Edyrems and your attacks, or just Edyrems. Boss Lilith isn't very complicated, as long as you can manage her aggro, and you'll be able to kill her pretty quickly.
- Location: Act 3, Torjan Jungles, Cemetery then Toraja
- Specificity: you can die at will, use Summon Edyrem to kill enemies and make enemies sensitive to your attacks
- Reward: Lylia's Curse, not much
Toraja's entry to kill Lilith
Lylia's Curse, probably the worst charm
34. 125 Valthek, recover the sets
In order to be able to kill the boss of another instance, you need to collect two sets, which you can find in the instance of Caldeum, at the top left. Be careful, hydrate yourself and have a bite to eat before embarking on this one because it is very long, and you will not have a way to save your progress. The instance is divided into 5 successive labyrinths, each time with a boss. The path of the boss is not the same as the one in the sequel, so you will have to find the path of the boss in the level and then find the path of the next level within it. There is not necessarily a secret, watch where you are going and remember the road so as not to get (too) lost. For each boss you will have a part of the Brotherhood of the Vizjerei and / or Brotherhood of the Horadrim set. By killing all five bosses, you will have both sets in full and can leave the instance to move on to the next one.
- Location: Act 3, Caldeum, top left
- Specificity: you can die at will, kill each boss in the labyrinths
- Reward: none, two sets to go
The entrance to The Spectrum of Hatred to collect the Valthek sets
The two complete Valthek sets
34. 125 Valthek, The Ancient Repositories
If you thought collecting sets was the hard part, think again! Valthek is quite complex to kill. With the sets you will get two spells, one allowing to kill summons, the other to damage the boss. It will be necessary to aim well because it is the same type as Purify. Kill the summons, aim for the boss, and start over. With patience you will be able to overcome it. Note that the two sets cap you in resistance and give a lot of bonus, but anyway you have no choice because you have to equip all the objects!
- Location: Act 3 Caldeum, opposite the spawn area
- Specificity: kill the summons then target the boss precisely
- Reward: The Ancient Repositories, + 0-1 with various skills and stats
The entrance to Yshari Sanctum to kill Valthek
The Ancient repositories without skills
35. 120 Baal, Spirit of Creation
Having completed the previous 34 instances, you should be strong enough to be able to kill him. You need to have enough damage and resistance to drop him and all of his summons quickly. Summoning a dinosaur boosts allies, and summons from former act bosses (Andariel, Duriel, Mephisto, and Diablo) make him invulnerable. Remember to pack the summons well to kill them as quickly as possible, you can also include Baal to steal life if you use an attack.
- Location: Act 5, top floor
- Specificity: need for resistance, single target and AOE, 20 minutes to die at will
- Reward: Spirit of Creation, unlocks the Specialization mastery
Additional details, thanks to Fex!
- a priori the invocations depend on whether Baal touches you
- you can put the summons on one side and Baal on the other, he will lose his immunity (that's cheating eh, to do if you get stuck!)
Entrance to fight Baal
Spirit of Creation
Three more charms in your inventory by completing these instances, which are starting to get really tough on Median XL!
