Particularity of the rings, and thanks to Harmony for the info, you have on each unique ring a chance to have a Soj, and that depends on its ilvl and its intrinsic "rarity". Be careful, I am talking about the rarity of the item in the game codes, not the color of the item, these are only unique rings. Here is the table of unique rings:

This means, that by recovering a unique ring in an area 84 and more, you will have one chance in 15 + 15 + 1 + 10 + 10 + 1 +3 + 3 + 1, or one in 59.
Andariel Cauchemar, the best idea for the Soj?
Andariel is super fast to do in Nightmare, and moreover ilvl 45, that is to say that you can only have three rings on her: Nagelring, Manald or Soj. Conversely in Hell, you will also have the possibility of having Dwarf Star, Frozen Raven, Bul Kathos and Carrion. I also compare with Mephisto. Here are the statistics:
- Andy Nm ilvl 45: 1 in 31
- Andy Hell ilvl 75: 1 in 56 chance
- Mephisto Nm ilvl 59: 1 chance in 51
- Mephisto Hell ilvl 87: 1 chance in 59
You have about a one in 20 chance with 400 mf of getting a unique ring on the Andariels, and one in 24 on the Mephisto, so you will find a Jordan Stone:
- Andy Nm: after 620 runs
- Andy Hell: after 1120 runs
- Mephisto Nm: after 1224 runs
- Mephisto Hell: after 1416 runs
Note all the same, that the runs of Andariel in Nightmare do not drop anything interesting, except the Stone of Jordan or the Amulet of Tal Rasha. Andariel en Enfer remains more profitable without taking into account a drop of this type. It will also be complicated to find a Jordan Stone on the Mephisto. Do not hesitate to watch the most profitable MF runs for more information on this subject!
To remember
Here are two pieces of information to complete your reflection:
- take into account the time to make a run, if you put twice as long in Andariel Enfer it will necessarily be much less profitable!
- pay attention to the number of players
The more players you are, the more drops you can have, here is the number of players in the game (not near you, not to be confused), and the additional potential drops:

Conclusion
Andariel's Nightmare runs are the fastest way to get Jordan Stones, however if you take that long to kill Andariel or Mephisto in Hell, it will be worth doing these bosses instead in order to get drops. globally !
