Plague and Pattern, two runic words that exist in Diablo 2 files but have never been created, will arrive on D2R!

They existed, but not really

These two runic words were foreseen in the files of the game Diablo 2 legacy, the one released 20 years ago. Many players have tried to create this runic word, without success (in particular by changing the order of the runes for example). It is quite simply because this runic word existed in file but had never existed in the game. For the first season of Diablo 2 Resurrected, it is those first two runic words which will arrive!

Plague Analysis

Here are the stats for the original runic word, note that this information will most likely change to make it more interesting:

• Cham Fal Um, three-hole weapon
• 25% Chance To Cast Poison Nova On Attacking
• 20% Chance To Cast2 To Cast Less Resistance On Hit
• Purification aura level 13 to 17
• +1 to 2 to all skills
• +260 to 380% damage to demons
• -23% to enemy poison resistance
• + 0.3% critical strike chance per level
• adds 5 to 30 fire damage
• 25% chance of open wound
• Freeze the target
• +10 in strength

The first element would be to add damage, an extra% damage to make the runic word really interesting, because while its anti poison and resistance abilities are interesting, a base with damage would make it competitive!

Pattern Analysis

Here are the stats for the original runic word, note that this information will most likely change to make it more interesting:

• Tal Ort Shot, Three-Hole Claw
• 10% attack score
• 40 to 80% damage
• 17 to 62 fire damage
• 15% to all resistances
• 6 of strength and dexterity
• 30% chance to block
• 2 mana after each enemy killed
• 1 to 50 lightning damage

For Pattern, this runic leveling word is extremely interesting and powerful, it will be perfect to start all your assassins. I don't really expect much modification, if not possibly a little nerf!
