Farm Diablo 2 Resurrected, the instances: to know all the places where to find good objects, with advantages and loot for each!
Ilvl and possible drops
Before telling you about farm instances, here is how ilevel works:
- each zone has an ilevel, being linked to the possible drop. You will therefore not be able to recover all the objects in all the areas
- depending on the type of monster on the map, the ilvl is different:
- normal monsters = ilvl of the map
- champions = ilvl of the map +2
- boss or unique = ilvl of the map +3
- the operation remains quite complicated, but overall with for example the COA ilvl 86, it will be impossible to recover it on Andariel ilvl 75
- so it is very interesting to be in a level 85+ farm instance, or to kill level 85+ bosses
Boss runs
The objective is to kill the bosses as quickly as possible, often associated with good loot.
Run | ilvel | HIGHLIGHTS | Main resistors | Interest |
---|---|---|---|---|
Andariel |
75 |
Fast | Poison | Quick and easy |
Duriel |
88 |
Long | Cold | Little interest |
Mephisto |
87 |
Fast | Cold Fire Lightning Poison | Fast and ilvl 87 |
Diablo |
94 |
Medium | Cold Fire Lightning Poison Physical | Average interest unless you go fast to seals |
Baal |
99 |
Slow | Cold Fire Lightning Poison Physical | No interest in speed farm, too long |
Pindleskins |
86 |
Very fast | Poison (immune) | Good ilvl and right in front of the tp, one of the best runs |
Countess |
82 |
Medium | Cold (immune) | For HR and Terror Key |
Nihlatak |
95 |
Fast | Cold Poison | Drop identical to Baal but faster and Key of Destruction |
Notas:
- for Diablo, go directly to the seals, kill their boss and go to the next one, activating the 5 seals will kill all the creeps present in the map (as long as the seal bosses are dead)
- for Baal, no miracle solution, it's one of the longest boss runs
- PindleSkin is very often immune to cold, but dies well with a mercenary
Runs instances
For this type of farm, you must clean an area as quickly as possible by mainly killing champions and bosses.

Specific case of Soj
If your goal is to collect as much Soj as possible, you should consider the Andariel in Nightmare, being the fastest and also allowing to drop this item. Thanks to Cheiko44 for the tip!
Farm Roads
If you don't like always repeating the same boss or instances, you can do what is called a farming route, including several objectives depending on your class / builds, here is what I suggest:
- ice damage: Crypt and Mausoleum, Wormhole, Ancient Tunnels, Travincal, Mephisto, Pindleskin
- lightning damage: Countess, Travincal, Mephisto, Pindleskin
- fire damage: Crypt and Mausoleum, Countess, Wormhole, The Sewers, Travincal, Mephisto, Pindleskin
- magic damage: Countess, Forgotten Temples, Travincal Abandoned Reliquary and Ruined Sanctuary, Mephisto, Pindleskin
- physical damage: Countess, Forgotten Temples, Travincal Abandoned Reliquary and Ruined Shrine, Mephisto, Pindleskin
The magic damage path is the most optimized, allowing for lots of small instances at high densities. This, however, is where you find the most elemental immunity.
I don't have time I want loot
Last section of this guide for those who want to recover the loot as quickly as possible, be careful it's very off-putting, but with 200% MF I drop a unique or set item every two minutes with the PindleSkin Run. Here are some tips to optimize it:
- create a game via the interface, do not go through a lobby
- go directly to the red portal and kill the boss without worrying about the rest
- pick up unique, set, and possibly rare items that you would need, but don't weigh yourself down
- quit the game without using TP and start over
The farm instances will therefore be easy to choose according to your build and the difficulty! You can also grant the time to do it and thus optimize your runs!
