Equipment and farm areas depending on your hydra orb sorcerer and just after finishing your Diablo 2 season rush!

This article is a supplement to my complete build Hydra Orb sorcerer to start the Diablo 2 season.

Attributes and Tiers

Here's what you should aim for:

• Strength: 156 to carry Spirit Monarch
• Dexterity: 0
• Vitality: the rest
• Energy: 0
• FCR casting speed: 105%
• FHR fast recovery speed: 86%

Final skills

Here are my level 83 skills:

• Frozen Orb, Fire Mastery, Hydra: 20
• A few points in Cold Mastery
• The rest in Ice Shot

Hydra synergy alternative:

• if you ever want to increase your single target damage, put the synergy with Fireball instead of Ice Bolt
• be careful I only recommend this option if you only do boss kills, like Mephisto or Andariel for example

Skills at level 83

Equipment, mercenary, priority and phases

I've had a lot of feedback on what equipment and in what order, so I'll go into more detail in this section. Throughout this section you will be able to farm the first zones that I indicate to you, I will call this phase A corresponding to the beginning of the Hell farm:

1. Spirit Sword, very simple to have and very powerful
2. Ancient's Pledge Shield, very simple and very powerful
3. Insight on a mercenary act 1 as long as you don't have a stolen lifetime helmet
4. Smoke Armor for resistances
5. A three-hole helmet with Topazes or Lore if you prefer
6. What you can in rare/magic for gloves, amulet, rings, belt and boots trying to get 63% FCR while waiting for spirit shield

Once you have all this equipment, you will now prioritize your mercenary. Once recovered, you can move on to the second farming zones, I will call this phase B corresponding to a good autonomy of farming in solo or split:

1. A helmet with life stolen: Bone of Worm, Tal Rasha or Crown of Thieves with a perfect amethyst
2. An Insight on an Ethereal Colossus Vouge
3. Go back to your character to collect a Spirit Monarch and reach the 105 FCR level

Now that you have this gear, here are the next steps, with the perfect C-phase for 3-way splitting. Overall, take skills and resistances for splitting, MF for soloing:

1. Treachery armor for your mercenary, be careful he must be level 85 to wear it
2. A Gheed Charm with 30+ MF
3. Vipemargie with a Perfect Topaz, or Skulder
4. Rings, amulets, belts, gloves and boots with MF, you can also consider
   1. Nagel, War Traveler, Chanceguard, Goldwrap, Magefist, Trang Gloves
5. Oculus

For the last stage, phase D perfect for split at 5:

• Tal armor, amulet belt
• Oculus or Obsession
• Face of Andariel on your mercenary
• Infinity

Areas to farm

Phase A, as a duo in the same area or solo:

• Andariel then Mephisto Hell
• Sewers
• The Tomb at the exit act 2

Phase B, solo or split run at 3:

• Mephisto Hell
• Diablo Hell
• Pre-travincals area
• The Pit La Fosse
• The Tomb at the exit act 2

Phase C, whatever you want, but in split run at 3 or even 5

Phase D, in split run at 5 or 7 in public games
