Skill stones come from a level five charm. That is to say, you must improve a basic charm until it has 5 skill lines. These skills are totally random, so it will be very unlikely to get a good charm this way. Once your Charm is level five, you will be able to turn it into a Skill Stone, allowing it to be re-infused into an existing Charm.

Obtain a charm with a good percentage of skill

You will have to go through the skill stones to get a percentage above 2%. When you use this stone to infuse it into your charm, it will take a random skill from the stone to infuse it onto your charm's chosen skill. For example, you want to change your charm's Sprint skill, you select it and use your skill stone on it. Sprint will be replaced by one of the five skills in your skill stone! Remember that making a skill stone costs 500 platinum and you can also sell them to the merchant, that's why this method is quite expensive to do, but there is no alternative.
