Celestial Clone of John Bourbon: know everything to find the Hidden Celestial, as well as tips to kill him without too much hassle!
In a few words
- The only prerequisite is to be in ultimate
- You will have to follow the hidden quest Daila's Secret Quest
- If you complete the dungeons challenges act 6 and 7 you should get by
- Its drop is armor in the form of a monster (only "useful" in skin)
Daila's Secret Quest
In order to find the Celestial, follow precisely and in this order the steps below.
Part I: The Stormheart Dagger
Go to the Tomb of Korvaak in the Asterkan Valley. Break the ballot boxes to find the legendary Stormheart dagger. Be careful, it only drops once per character!
Part II: first note
You will then need to find a tree filled with hanged men, with bodies littering the ground. It is located in Blood Grove, but to make it simpler I have given you the position in the screen-shot below! The text "You feel a chilling breeze, but there is no wind ... " will appear telling you that the Dravis' Letter to Daila - First Entry note is in your inventory.
Part III: second note
The second note is at the last level of the dungeon challenge act 2 Steps of Torment. If necessary consult our guide to help you, but if you are in the hunt for celestials you should know this first dungeon.
Go south of the last level, cross the submerged part to take the secret passage. At the level of the blue flame the text "A sense of dread overwhelms you ... " will appear along with Dravis' Letter to Daila - Second Entry.
Then do not hesitate to finish the dungeon because you are right next to the boss and go to part 4.
Part IV: third note
The third note can be found at Forsaken Waste. Go to Act 4, Plains of Strife and look for the red rift (three possible spawn locations). Once in this rift, go northeast of the map, inside the dilapidated house with a blue flame.
The text "This place feels strange ... " will appear, as well as Dravis' Letter to Daila - Third Entry. Recreate the game if you don't want to waste time looking for the exit.
Part V: Gates of Necropolis
To continue this quest, you will need a "Salt Bag", the starter amulet on new characters. If you don't have one stocked, recreate a character and as soon as you have access to the Grim Dawn Inner Prison, transfer it via the NPC from the chests.
Once the three notes, the sword and the salt bag in inventory, go to the Gates of Necropolis, northeast of the rift. The area is hidden, follow the screen shot below if necessary.
Having all four items will allow a spirit to spawn, and giving it the salt bag will open the rift to the Immortal Sanctuary. Then activate the torch at the top of the room to discover a new rift.
Part VI: rift and boss
After having come all this way, you are now all set to find the celestial. You will be able to activate your portals until a message tells you that you no longer feel the connection with the rifts.
Follow the rift normally, talk to the John Bourbon clones and you'll find the boss fight zone at the back. Here is the information to know to kill the boss "without too much complication":
- It does not hit extremely hard but will multiply, with several on you they hit very hard
- Think about kiting as much as possible and avoid aggro altogether
- It doesn't have much reach, enjoy it
- Take your time to kill all the clones, until the last one dies
- The combat zone is small, remember to leave the zone if necessary, it is not closed
A very nice celestial first, which once you have followed the guide well remains "easy" to find. Too bad the loot is really not terrible, but it allows you to measure the power of your build!

Thanks for the guide. just a remark if you could make a way so that we can click on the images of the guide to enlarge them, otherwise it's hard to see ^^
the pb is that it eats a lot of resources :/ I haven't found an effective alternative suddenly 🙁 but you can move the image to another tab it helps a lot =)
oh ok that's better indeed 🙂
