Preparation

Before going to tap Sirus, you will have a few key milestones to achieve with your character:

  • Capture Mephod, in the Summit map, and equip Abberath's soul. This will reduce the duration of Sirus burns that affect you.
  • Capture Vision of Justice, Erythrophagia and Kitava to equip Solaris soul
    • Solaris increases your physical damage reduction when there is an enemy.
    • Vision of Justice your elemental damage reduction (hence fire) when you are hit.
    • Erythrophagia which prevents to suffer several critical hits in a row, in particular practical against the multi lasers of Sirus.
    • Kitava, which prevents critical hit burn procs.
  • Have a ruby flask that removes burns.
  • Have a potion refill system.
    • If you play critical hit, the belt mod "gains a flask charge when you do a CC".
    • Or gain a flange charge if you haven't used one.
    • etc
  • Boots with at least 20% movespeed and a dash.

All these preparations will be very inexpensive, but extremely useful for your fight. Namely that Sirus pops in Atlas level 4, so you will have plenty of time to do them before!

Phase 1, start of the fight

You will start with Sirus on his phase 1, the key to this phase is patience. It is not complicated as long as you take your time! Here are its different attacks and how to deal with them:

Storms and Sirus in the air

Sirus is untouchable when he's in the air, so he'll have to be brought down to be able to pat him on the head. To do this, place yourself below him. Quietly dodge his attacks, avoiding consuming too many potions. Watch out for its converging lasers. They cause an explosion that inflicts a big burst when they meet. This attack is to be avoided at all costs. The others have moderate damage but are also easily dodgeable.

Be careful, Sirus will not descend if he is too close to the tornadoes; that is, you need an area on the ground large enough for it to land. Note that it is attracted to you, so you can pull it out to get it out of too close proximity to storms. The easiest way is, as soon as it storms, to go far enough (count 2 screens away), and wait about thirty seconds. Then go back and bring it down while staying below it.

Laser and multi-laser attacks

On this phase, Sirus will alternate between several small lasers and a large multi-laser. Most builds can tank your small lasers, but without the right gear it will be much more difficult to tank your multi-lasers. Either way, I advise you to dodge both. Staying mobile and avoiding all of his attacks will prevent you from taking damage and using potions for nothing. In general, being mobile will make it much easier to avoid his attacks, conversely staying fixed to knock him out will make dodging his triple laser more complicated. Obviously if you are good stuff, you can bash his head on this phase, but without stuff I advise you instead to alternate attack and jump as in the video.

Sirus' hallway and balls

Without bad puns, Sirus teleports you down a hallway and throws his balls at you. The survival instinct would be to flee in the opposite direction to the direction of his balls, and you will do just the opposite. So I advise you to run towards Sirus and use your mobility spells to quickly pass him and get out of the hallway. His balls don't hurt very much if you do this quickly. So as soon as he teleports you, dashez in his direction and exit the hallway. If necessary take a potion set (ie all your potions).

Kaboom in the labyrinth

Sirus' other teleportation takes you into a maze, where your teleport and dash spells are disabled. So that's why it's very important to have boots with 20% movespeed, or at least a displacement potion. 20% is enough, but you can take more if you are not used to it.

The goal will be to get out of the labyrinth as quickly as possible, by following the kinds of sparks on the ground. If you don't get out fast enough you'll get an explosion in your head that will kill you. Very few builds can tank this attack. Note that each phase will add a circle to the labyrinth, but you will have more time! Remember to watch the next exits as soon as you are teleported, in order to plan your route directly. If you go in the right direction immediately, you can't miss it!

Sirus' labyrinth (phase 2)

Exit the Sirus zones labyrinth

Once it is mid-life, it will create a storm and go into phase 2.

Phase 2, the intermediary

Phase 2 is very similar to Phase 1, except that Sirus' maze will have two circles, like the image above. Apply the same techniques! Sirus will go into phase 3 when he reaches a quarter of his life. He will make a storm, heal himself mid-life and pass phase 3.

Phase 3, the complicated

You are now facing Sirus with half of his HP, beware this phase is the most complex. However, it is perfectly manageable if you follow the information below carefully! If you have managed the phases before, you will have a few tp to practice mastering this phase. In addition to the maze with three circles, Sirus will have two new very annoying attacks and will benefit from an upgrade for his multi-laser.

Multi-laser targeted

Its multi-laser is no longer fixed! Rather than unloading everything in one spot Sirus will pivot slightly to follow you with his shots. It will therefore be necessary not only to avoid the first laser but also to continue to dodge the following ones, because they sting!

Everlasting Fire (also called the 4 friends around a fire)

On this attack, Sirus summons three mirror images, that is, one of them will be the real one, since there are four. We must therefore quickly find where is the right one to hit him. You can also permanently dodge during this attack. If you want to find it, there are several techniques:

  • Hover your mouse over it, it will display the boss's name and life only if it's the real one.
  • Use totems, they'll hit if it's the real Sirus.
  • Cast spells or attacks, they will only hit the real one.

The fiery rays don't hurt terribly, but don't stay in it. So you can jump or dash through these to find Sirus

Feel the thrill of the void

Once again Sirus summons clones of himself, and only one will be the real one. I advise you to permanently dodge this attack, and to hit the boss again after this last one. Find him quickly and then get back to dodging, because he will very often use his multi-laser.

Generally for this phase, I advise you to dodge Sirus' multi-lasers in clone or solitary mode, then to systematically jump on him for dps and more easily to dodge; it's much easier to dodge Sirus when you have vision on it. It will therefore always be necessary to quickly find it and keep an eye on it!

Further information

Below is more info to help you kill Sirus. Thanks to Kombustia for this feedback!

  • When it moves (teleportation we will say), we also see it on your video, it briefly leaves a small trail that can indicate to us where it is going, and that can be very important because when you arrive in A8 / 9, it happens very often that after teleporting, he instantly casts his triple beam (Die!) and it can save us.
  • According to the phases, and especially when the third phase is reached, ALWAYS move in a parallel or diagonal way but never towards him. His spell "Die!" over time you will understand why and Dm explains it: phase 1 2 3, it will always be straight, but for the last it will follow you and it is rather quick for the damage that it sticks.
  • Your tip for the first phase when playing hide and seek in his storm is very good for beginners, with time and / or the game experience, it will be enough either to stay as close as possible and dodge your AoEs or so to turn around, to save a little time is always a pleasure. We must also talk about its rays when it is divided into 4, it applies a debuff that stacks up to 8 times, increasing the damage that we receive so we must try to avoid it as much as possible if we do not have one. gear to ignore that. To know also on these 4 rays, the orientation will always be according to the images of Sirus, which are more or less in the "north-south-east-west" for example, then it will go in these directions AND it will also always turn in the counterclockwise, so choose a placement that will leave you a little room to move after this spell.
  • The triple beam (Die!) Can type in all elements except chaos, and can apply major elements. The freeze and the shock do not do any damage, we will focus on the physical and fire. For the fire as you say, immune burning / ignite, it's perfect, for the physical, it can inflict corrupted blood, so if you can catch a jewel with "Corupted blood cannot be inflicted to you", don't worry. do not deprive because casually, it stings severely.
  • Little last tip that may seem denied, but! You will need some practice, the videos are a good one, just visually. Avoid dying afterwards, indeed, Sirus is a sequel, over time, more and more random, and by experience, when you die and then come back and you don't know where the ugly sir is, and bah. .. You can take a "Die!" even without seeing it again on the screen, be careful enough!

With practice, you will find that even if it looks very complicated, Sirus is easy to fall! Do not neglect the preparation of this boss as indicated and work the phases well. Remember to be precise and patient and the loot will be yours!
