Our advice and tips

Here are our 7 tips that will bring you the success you seek through each dungeon of Hellcard, it will allow you to chart your own path with all the cards in hand and to establish formidable strategies.

Tip #1: Start with a warrior to learn the basics!

If you are new to HELLCARD and want to learn the game mechanics on your own, you should choose the Warrior class. This class is ideal for the first levels of the game and will allow you to familiarize yourself with the different aspects of the game, to understand the enemies and their skills, and to learn how to play simply without setting the bar too high!

Tip #2: Control enemies with magician or thief cards.

If you're playing as a mage or thief, you'll have the option to use the "Freeze" and "Stun" cards at some point. These cards will be extremely useful to you, as they allow you to stop the actions of your opponents for a given period, which will save you loss of life and greatly facilitate the battle.

Tip #3: Optimize your deck from the start.

It is important to regularly check whether the cards you earn have an additional upgrade path. This will allow you to plan from the beginning the type of deck you want to create and to optimize your game strategy.

Tip #4: Choose your enemies.

Before each fight, you will have to choose the room you want to visit if you win the battle as well as the majority type of enemies defending it. Preferably choose the most accessible fight that will cost you the least possible life points and avoid the explosive Imps and the Ghosts with the unfriendly debuff.

Tip #5: Defeat Enemies That Cast Buffs First?

At the beginning of the game, when you face a group of enemies, it is advisable to first get rid of the enemies that have an attack planned from the start. However, as time passes, the number of opponents increases, and some of them focus on strengthening other enemies. In this case, it is wise to eliminate them in priority to face the other opponents with more ease.

Tip #6: Combine Warrior, Mage, and Rogue in co-op.

Whether you're playing co-op or solo, we strongly recommend combining a Thief, Mage, and Warrior on your team. As a Mage, select a Templar as a companion to gain numerous parry and support bonuses. You can also add a Tracker to deal damage and control my enemies.

Tip #7: Upgrade Your Cards Instead of Picking Artifacts?

In Hellcard, it is much more advantageous to improve your cards than to choose artifacts. For this reason, we advise you to focus on your deck and improve it as soon as possible. However, it is crucial not to neglect certain artifacts if they are offered to you, as they could synergize with your strategy and radically change the course of your game.
