There are a number of faction-specific recipes between 80 and 225 that make power levelling a lot easier. Because of this, some parts of what follows will be marked to show who they are for.
80 – 90: Smoked Bear meat
To make smoked bear meat, you need bear meat. Dig Rat Stew is the fastest recipe for the Horde between 90 and 130. You can learn how to make Dig Rat Stew by completing Grub's Dig Rat Stew quest near the Crossroads and getting the Dig Rat Stew Recipe, or by buying it from him if you're a higher level player.
90 – 130: Dig Rat Stew
Cook Dig Rat into Dig Rat Stew. You can train Expert Cooking once you reach level 125.
All players will need to buy the Recipe: Curiously Tasty Omelet before moving on.
Curiously Tasty Omelet is a recipe. The Alliance will have already visited their vendor, Kendor Kabonka, in Stormwind, but the Horde will need to find either Keena at Hammerfall in Arathi Highlands or Nerrist at Grom'gol Base Camp in Stranglethorn Vale.
Players in the Horde should also use this time to buy Recipe: Roast Raptor from either of their vendors.
130 – 175: A Strangely Delicious Omelet
Raptor Egg to Cook. Make an omelette out of a Raptor egg.
For the rest of the raptor parts to be cooked, all players will have to buy Recipe: Roast Raptor Roasted Raptor, which can be bought from a number of shops around Azeroth, as long as you have enough WotLK Classic Gold. Aside from Keena and Nerrist, who sell the recipe to Horde players, the following people also sell it:
- (H) Ogg'marr in Brackenwall Villages, Dustwallow Marsh
- (A) Corporal Bluth at Rebel Camp, Stranglethorn Vale
- (A) Hammon Karwn Refuge Pointe, Arathi Highlands
- (A) Helenia Olden, Theramore Island, Dustwallow Marsh
175 – 225: Roast Raptor
Raptor Flesh is turned into Roast Raptor Flesh. When your level is 225, you can learn the Artisan skill.
Before you can move on with Artisan, you must buy another recipe: Recipe: Monster Omelette Recipe: Monster Omelette. Players can go to either Felwood or Winterspring to find this item. Alliance players must talk to Malygen south of Felpaw Village in Felwood, while Horde players must find Bale in Jadenar. Anyone from either side can also go to Everlook in Winterspring to talk to Himmik.

300 – 325: Ravager Dog Ravager Dog or Buzzard Bites
Ravager Dogs or Buzzard Bites can be made by cooking either Ravager Flesh or Buzzard Meat.
After you've made your Dogs or Bites, you'll need to buy either Recipe: Talbuk Steak
Roasted Clefthoof Steak Recipe
Roasted Clefthoof in Nagrand is a recipe. Nula the Butcher in Garadar will sell them to the Horde, and Uriku in Telaar will sell them to the Alliance. Both can be bought and made at the same time, just like the Dogs and Bites, because both meats are easy to farm in Nagrand.
325 – 350: Talbuk Steak
Convert Talbuk Venison

Rhino Meat can be changed into Rhino Dogs.
After everyone has made 375 Rhino Dogs, they will have to do another set of quests to learn the next recipe. Talk to Grimbooze Thunderbrew and take the "Some Make Lemonade, Some Make Liquor" quest to start. Some Make Lemonade, Some Make Liquor quest. This will start the chain that shows you how to make Kungaloosh, a fruity drink you can make with ingredients you buy from vendors. When The Taste Test was done, The Taste Test, you will learn the recipe and be able to move on.
375 – 400 : Kungaloosh
To make Kungaloosh, you need Tundra Berries and Savory Snowplum.
After you reach level 400 in Cooking, leveling up takes longer and takes more time. Blizzard has added daily quests and tokens to Cooking, just like they have to other professions. The Dalaran Cooking Award, which is the reward for completing these quests, can be traded to 3 different vendors for cooking recipes. Alliance players can go to Derek Odds in Dalaran to trade them, and Horde players can go to Misensi. At the Argent Tournament Grounds, anyone can buy recipes from Mera Mistrunner.
To get the Cooking Awards, you have to do:
- Cheese for Glowergold
- Convention at the Legerdemain
- Infused Mushroom Meatloaf
- Mustard Dogs!
- Sewer Stew
As a final note, each of these recipes calls for Northern Spices.
You can get Northern Spices from the bag you get when you finish a Daily Quest, trade them for 1 Cooking Award, or buy them from other players.
400–425: Any of the recipes you learned by trading in Dalaran Cooking Award
From 425 to 450, there are a few different choices. The first is that you keep doing daily quests, learning new recipes, and cooking them until you reach 450. It is possible to do this, but it might take a while. The other choice is to save your tokens and buy either Recipe: Small Feast or Recipe: Big Feast. Small Feast Recipe or Huge Feast Recipe Gigantic Feast is a recipe. Even though neither of these may be useful right away, they stay yellow until level 450, which is not true of most of the other recipes you can buy with daily tokens.
425–450: Any Dalaran Daily or Small Feast recipe.
Small Feast/Big Feast/Gigantic Feast
