Build Knight The Slormancer: an ultra tanky build allowing you to easily kill exp 10 with retaliation, piece of wood and thorns!

Gameplay and synergies

Creating a build that tanks and does damage was not easy, so there are some synergies to understand!

• thorns damage, returns a fixed damage when you are hit and boosts our stick tip damage
• retaliatory damage, reflects a portion of the damage inflicted and
  • proc damage over time with a specific node
  • boost our thorn damage with the superior gold-plated sword
• grapple defense stacks to better resist

Skills and ancestral heritage

Deviation, passive boost

• discipline, armor buff
• endure pain, life buff
• kiss of the rose, buff of thorn
• of no interest
• revenge is a dish that is eaten cold, retaliation is lasting
• no interest, full shielding is ok while waiting for enough resistance
• master retaliation, rep damage inflicted before armor is taken into account
• armor of the ancients, double armor stats or knight of fate for tenacity

Piece of wood, extra dps

• rose stem, piece of wood damage increased by thorns
• shards of the forest, 50% resistance debuff at wood end
• blades of the forest, explode against the walls
• forest eruption, AoE by killing a creep, level 1 only
• wood log, damage increased by 150%

Grapple, CC and resistance

• long chain, increases range
• captain hook, grapple all over the place
• gather information, give defense stacks
• powerful vitality, more life
• none, the tremor damage is tickling with this build

Ancestral heritage

• experienced hunter: attack speed and armor penetration
• the slormitologist: a little more XP etc

Equipment

Here are the items with the stats to take, try to always take raw thorn damage and % of retaliation. Avoid thorn's % damage at all costs, unless that's all it does.

• Breastplate
• Cape

• Boots
• Gloves, bracelets: life steal, magic mana stats
• epaulette
• Helm
• Amulet

Slorm reaper:

• superior gold-plated sword, its previous form evolves at level 60 and this allows you to have the % of retaliation increasing your thorn damage
• the primordial form gives your thorn damage in primary skill damage, so quite practical but not necessary
• this one will give you more thorn than the mordthorn weapon

Mastery:

• no interest in having masteries, this increases the damage of skills by one puilleme per level!
• except if you want to fully use the sword stroke mastery to take the weight end passive according to the sword stroke mastery level

Legendary item:

• I am using the Soul Eating Cloak Cloak, inflicting x% of max health when applying damage over time, achieved by our Retaliation Node. It is not required for the build, but allows you to kill angry X elites faster.

Nothing very complicated, put everything in defense! There is a slightly blah passive that blinds enemies, but it's no more disturbing than that.

• Resolution: the whole, i.e. 40 + 33 equipment points
