Craft, principle and interest

Here is the important information to know about crafting:

• it allows to obtain an object with random affixes and a chosen base
• the formula depends on the type of craft but always has the same form: 1 weak rune, 1 jewels, 1 perfect gem, a magic item
• you can craft on a single type of base item but use its three thirds (normal, exceptional, elite)
• there are four directions for crafting:
  • Hit Power, characterized by the Perfect Sapphire: an effect is triggered when you are hit, very limited interest
  • Blood, characterized by the perfect Ruby: life theft even OW, DS, CB, interest in physical attacks
  • Caster, characterized by the Perfect Amethyst: FCR and mana, convenient for mages
  • Safety, characterized by the Perfect Emerald: resistance and defense, limited interest
• the results obtained depend on the level of your person

The objective of this guide is not to go through all the crafts, but to point out the most useful ones. So that the guide is as clear as possible, in the formulas I removed the jewel and the "perfect" one, remember to always put this jewel and only perfect gems!

When to craft?

There are three types of craft:

• all that is except amulet, to be crafted to replace a rare one but will be of limited power in front of a unique good
• all that is amulet without +2 skills, for those who want +1 skill or without skill
• all that is amulet with +2 skills, for those who want the most powerful amulets in the game

When to craft:

• except amulet: if you see a useful craft, which can replace one of your equipment, be at least level 80+, knowing that 4 affixes appear with 71+, it is just that it is better to finish your leveling before you focus on craft
• amulet without +2 skills: being at least 80+
• amulet +2 skills: if you are looking for perfection, being at least 94+

• you can get amulets with more than 10% FCR if you come across the affix "of Apprentice" adding 10% FCR, ie a max of 20% FCR

Mistakes not to make

Here is everything you must not believe or do:

• think that the craft depends on the number of players, your MF, the level of difficulty (normal, nightmare, hell), the weather or the time of day, it depends only on the level of your character
• the same for the bets, it depends only on your character level
• use your character (if you have one) to find GF Gold to bet in place of your higher level character
• believe that you will quickly have a good amulet, this activity takes extremely long with no guarantee of results, and you will probably have to buy craft packs (gems, jewels, runes) in order to optimize your time

Craft preparations

Now that you have all the information for crafting, you still have a lot of preparations left:

• a character high enough level 80+ excluding amulet +2 skills and 94+ amulets amulets +2 skills
• gold: the best way to find magic items is through the bettor, be sure to buy them with your high level character, as your bet ilvl is between -5 and +4
• of the Gheed charm, it reduces the prices of the merchant and the bets, therefore very practical
• the runic word Edge, on Tir Tal Amn bows and crossbows giving 15% off seller, thanks to Mac_Apo for the clarification!
• if you want a very good amulet, enough to make 50 to 100 attempts

The holy grail, an amulet +2 skills 20 FCR

Last section of the guide, and amulet that will be sought after by many class. An amulet with +2 to all skills and 20 FCR, knowing that rare amulets can only reach 10 FCR. Here's how to do it:

• Amulets bet are +4 / - 5 ilvl and must be at least 90 ilvl to be able to craft at +2 skills
• If you are level 95, you will have an ilvl 90 to 99 amulet, which guarantees that she will eventually be able to obtain this +2 skills
• The more you will have a level lower than 95, the more you will craft "for nothing", because you will be able to have an amulet ilvl 89 and less
• You will then need to use the formula Ral, Amethyst P, Jewels, Amulet and obtain both:
  • 10% FCR on craft affix
  • + 10% FCR via the affix "of Apprentice"
  • +2 skills for a class, ideally paladin or sorcerer

You will understand, it is very rare and therefore very expensive, you can either use it on your character or exchange it without any problem!
